Ricoh 3245C scan to folder win 7

All firmware is latest and greatest.
Customer has 2238C right next to 3245 and it can scan to folder on win 7, but 3245 browses to computer and can't see folders.
This happens on my laptop too.
I am thinking controller, but don't want to spend big bucks for a new or used one just to find out that isn't the problem.
Firewalls turned off, folder is shared and permissions are set right.
    Stumped!!!!!!!!
    Anyone have any fresh ideas?
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Did you try 5801-11?? reset the NCS. you will have to reenter all of the network settings after you execute this.

Reset everything but engine memory. I even dropped firmware levels down 1 just to see if it would help.
Staring at it is not helping either.

Had an office a while back with a 3245C also, with 4 new, Identical PC's. They wanted scan to folder setup to each one individually. I got 3 done no problem, but was never able to connect to the 4th one. Very frustrating, and never found a solution (but I would be interested in hearing some ideas).
Anyway, I ended up just using Filezilla FTP server on the last one . I'm becoming a bigger fan of FTP with every setup. There's just never the little glitches along the way. Firmware's never an issue, and it's not related to Windows login credentials. It just works

it's a PC os issue. and sandmanmac is right on with the filezilla option, if the customers it is ok with it.

I figured myself it would have to be 'something' related to the OS, but any suggestions as to what might be to blame and/or how to resolve it? Because like I said, the 4 that I was trying to setup were identical in every way, and I messed with every different setting that I could think of, but just couldn't get the scans to go, or see that 1 PC from the copier?

Replaced controller, NIC and HDDs separately one at a time and still no worky.
I am thinking it may be the NVram.
If I change it the counters reset to 0.
Scan to email still works, so I told Cust it was bad nvram programming and It would take hours and $400.00 to resolve.

I have seen issues when the user has changed thier user name after setting up the computer. The SMB credentials with the copier never work after that. The fix I have used has been to create a new user on the workstation and use those credentials. Also, with Windows 7, always put the share in the Public Documents folder.
