    MP4002/MP5002--D129/D130

I don't know if this has been covered yet, but we got word from a higher up at Lanier that these have a firmware bug that can take out the controller board. We are upgrading the frimware on all our machines. I didn't see anything on TSRC about it yet, so just a heads up.

The only serious bug I could find is that the Fax CPU could be quicker to recover from sleep mode than the controller wich results is SC899.

    We'll see...

We were told that a SC878 would come up, and whatever causes that is taking out the controller board. The system firmware is supposed to fix the 878 code.

we looked at a MP5002 yesterday with a SC878-01 code.

looks like it is the controller board.

I see a thread on the Ricoh TSC forum discussing this. Thread was started in Jan 2013, 4 different people replied they had the same problem and had to replace the controller board.
