Aficio 2232C Oil on trailing edge

    Hello guys!

I've tried to clean the fuser separating claws, but the problem returns - the oil marks on the trailing edge match the claws position, but why could they be gathering so much oil in the first place? Anyone knows how can I solve this?

    Cheers!

There is a high volume oil unit available - make sure they have the standard one...

Be sure that the user runs the amounts listed in the bulletin otherwise you will run into trouble if you use the high volume unit. Generally, when the fuser starts leaving oil marks I just replace it as it's usually close to time anyway. This has been a known limitation of this model for quite some time.

Thank you both for the info. In the meantime I just removed the lower separation claws and it is running fine so far.

Been there, done that - you might get away with that forever, but if the machine does decide to eat a sheet the results are rather dramatic... Have a spare fuser handy.
