[Error Code] SC391 Ricoh MP171

Hi Everyone,

Wonder if you guys can help me here. I have a MP171SPF with SC391. I have replaced the PCU and the high voltage supply board, but the code still persists. Machine tries to warmup and then
shows the code. This machine was mistakenly picked up from the customers premises by an unauthorized copier company, when they returned it, the code appeared.
So I suspect it is a fault put by one of their technicians.
The original problem was the transfer roller gear split.
Now I am stuck with a different type of fault.
Please guys, your help will be appreciated.

Hi there!
Broken transferroller-gear? Have you build in a new roller-assembly or only changed the gear? Check if all 4 springs at the roller-unit are sitting the right way. Then check the claws of the right door, sometimes the hooks, holding them are a little broken, therefore the door is not closing to 100% and this sc-code & jam will occur. Also check the grounding-springblades at the papercassette. If there is enough contact to the machine, the wildest Things will occur.

This is a developer bias leak. I would pull the pcu and turn on the machine and see if it codes or not. If you have replaced the pcu then check the ground contacts for the pcu and also check all bias related components on the right door assy.
