    MPC4500 Duplex uint initialize every 5 minutes

    Hi Everyone,
    Working on MPC4500, i can hear the noise of motor initialize from the duplex unit every 5 minute. Which is very annoying to customers close by. Wonder what cause that problem? Please advice, thanks.

      Are you sure it's the duplex unit? The fuser cycles to avoid flat spots (Sp1115-1).

          HE could show the customer the fuser pressure release noise of a MPC4000/5000 - I'm shure they will be happy t get the MPC4500 back then

          Depending on the usage you can probably set upt the power off timer <5minutes (not the energy save timer) - the machine will take more time to wake up/get ready then of course but it the mentime it should remain silent.
