Have you tried stopping it before fusing to see if the problem is prior to fusing?

I'm not sure, short distance between the fuser and transfer. lines makes the fuser peroentonces I have a problem of "traction", maybe record or output unit? A4 everything perfect.

      excuse my english...google translator

Are you sure it's the same with Print and copy A3?

if problem remains with only A3 copy then you need to be looking in to scanner towards A3 ,just run a scanner free run with lamp off to check smooth run.

Most of time Bad ITb(image transfer belt)can cause such image shifting, bad PCU or a laser shutter,

No doubt you gonna get allot better and to the point hints from senior members,

        good luck

                    But to clarify:

                    2 x colour PCUs (80k)
                    Transfer cleaning station (160k)
                    Transfer separation roller (160k)
Full fuser rebuild, especially the oil roller (160k)

I had this issue same as you, on a MPC4500. On A3 being run through tray 4 on the Thick 1 setting.

If your lucky and can get away with changing to the middle thick setting you will be fine, if like me you have no choice but to stay at thick 1 then:

I cured by adjusting the fuser motor speed (SP1-801) sorry can't remember exactly what i set from and to what.
Seems that the paper is fed too fast into the fuser causing the paper to bend and scuff across the area opposite to the fuser entrance guide.

I also think is a speed trouble, thanks, I'll will try it early and will tell you if it works fine

Have a look at the Fuser entry, there is a plastic part that guides the paper. Remove it and clean it thoroughly, then reattach and make sure, that you mount it in the lowest position possible.

what toner is it oem or generic? generic causes all sorts of problems especially on coated/glossy paper. As the god that is LLama has stated you have to pm these machines.
