Ricoh AF1045 scan to folder with Win 7

my question is; has any one set up the 1045 for scan to folder on windows 7?
according to the white paper it is supposed to be able to perform this function, but we all know what theory is about.
and pitfalls I should be looking for?

and yes Paul, I do have the manuals for this model of ricoh.

are you sure this model scans to folder. i haven't seen one in a while, but i thought you had to use scan router.

I don't think this series(1035,1045,1060) have scan to folder option, always been using Twain and Desktop binder or scan router to get it work,

White paper? I wipe my arse on it.

This machine needs Scanrouter to work and, as far as I know, this doesn't work on Windows 7. Well, it didn't work on Vista and Server 2008 and I've never tried it on Windows 7, but I assume that it doesn't.

Similarly, my abacus will not scan to Windows 7.

No scan to folder until at least 2035/2045 series - and then, only the E versions of those models.
Scanrouter will work fine on Win 7, but only if UAC is disabled

The main pitfall to look for with the 1045 is the high cost of vacuum filtres from the amount of toner those machines spit out.

Seriously though, trying to scan to Windows 7 with this machine isn't worth the trouble. Keep in mind that Windows 98 was still in moderate use when this model came out. Technology marches on and this model has been left behind. If anything, I'd go scan to email with that box.

thanks for the feed back. its kind of what I expected about this machine.
sounds like a good time to upgrade this client to a good colour machine.

                thanks every one
