Colour Controller E-5000 Default Scan Resolution

Customer wants to set default scan resolution (accessed from the FeiryDriven button/Scan tab) to 300dpi on an Apollon C1c (MPC3500)
    The current default is 200dpi.
The 'Program As Defaults' button (white button with diamond, above cancel button) is inactive when viewing fiery display screens.
You can select a different resolution, OK it and save it as a preset, but the preset still has to be manually selected which defeats the object.
There is no Scanner Features option available in user tools when the E-5000 is fitted.
I have looked through the Feiry Menu, hit the machine with a browser and scoured all the available documentation without finding a resolution.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

I downloaded the E-5000/E-3000 users guide this morning and found this - "You can save scan options or destination options in the Scan Options Preset or Destination Preset menus. After you enter scan options or destinations, press Add to Preset and type a name for the saved set of options."

For further info, check page 563 of the User Manual (PDF). Hope this helps!

      Thanks for the reply buddy

I had already discovered these options which basically allows you to select various scan settings and create a preset from the fiery scan screen on the copier and save it to be recalled later.

The problem is that the customer is pulling scans from an application and selecting 600dpi from the scan interface on their Mac, but the machines' default setting of 200dpi is overriding their remote selection.

The minor inconvenience to the customer would be having to reload the preset every time they load their originals as the preset doesn't lock in permanently.

The customer wasn't aware of the preset facility originally, so I'm still one step further than when I started but if I can lock the preset on a permanent basis I would be back on their Christmas Card List
