[Misc] reset admin password, Gestener DSm415

We have a client with a DSm415. No one knows the admin password.


A post in this forum for a DSm645 states to get into "SP mode" one should press: clear/mode key, numbers 1,0,7 then hold down the red clear/stop. However, trying this on the DSm415 but it isn't working.


Anyone know the steps to reset to default the admin password starting from power-on?

The process you outlined to get into SP mode is correct. You must be doing something wrong; However, that is not the way to reset any admin passwords anyway.
You can try:
username: administrator
password: password (or possibly no password)

The newer units have 'supervisor' access via the web monitor to change the credentials, but yours doesn't. If access isn't possible, the only way to reset is by replacing the NVram

1. Type the keys as follows: Yellow C/a- 1-0-7 Red clear stop hold down for 3 seconds until sp mode is displayed.

You can try supervisor and no password see if that gets u in

This model has only a key op code, not a login and password. As stated by Bantams, you will need to login to Service mode and reset 7-810 (in Data Log).
