try redoing the firmware for the LCDC again making sure its the right one as theres differant ones depending on the region you are in the one you have installed is EU chances are if you aint in the EU you have screwed the rom on the ops panal and will need a new one.

Try using websmartdevice monitor, it should find the machine, and allow you to update the firmware either throught the software, and also it will allow you to open the WIM.

Thanks for the reply I installed the web smart device monitor but still it is not searching the mpc4500 the other machines are showing in the same network. Now when I am switching on the machine nothing works inside the machine before the drives and front doors are sensing.

Hi Just to be clear. When you switch the machine on does anything other than the green light, top right of control panel, come on or start to initialize? If it's just the green light and nothing else, there's a good chance the PSU has died. The PSU's were modified as they had a tendency to pop if switched off and on too quickly Cheers

I agree, if it's just the power LED in the top right of the display.

So when you turn the machine on, all you get is the green LED on the top right of the ops panel? If so, it's the power supply. Or maybe the power supply.

Does this model have the dip switch allowing boot from SD?

I have no idea, however I have had several of these machines popping power supplies and all you're left with is the green LED in the top right of the ops panel.Anyway, why do you ask?

Only because it happened after a firmware update, if you can reboot the machine with another card containing another new set of firmware it may recover.

It could be the PSU, or LCDC firmware.... etc.

Is it possible you powered it off before the LCDC firmware finished? You would have gotten a message that it is safe to power off once it had completed. If that is the case then you will have to replace the control panel board. Is there another mfp you can borrow the control panel from to test?
