    MPC 2500 - C565

    Hi guys,

Having a problem with an mpc2500. Machine is working fine, but when its idle for about 5 minutes the error SC565 come's up.

    The service manual says:
Heating lamp consecutive full power 3When the fusing unit is not running in the ready condition, the pressureroller-fusing lamp keeps ON full power for 120 seconds or more.

Broken heating roller fusing lamp565 A1. Replace the heating roller lamp.
    2. Replace the PSU.

We replaced the press roller lamp and thermistor but problem remains.

I dont think the problem in the PSU as we took fuser to a different machine and the problem followed.

    Any help greatly appreciated
    Thanks in advance,
    Tebow83

Since youve replaced the thermistors and the lamps I'd be looking at the thermostats or the connector plug for bent contacts of wads of paper.

If I remember correctly this machine uses a duel heat lamp that looks like 1 lamp, and 1 side can fail causing this code. The lamp stays on full power too long because 1 side doesn't work...

After reading the post again, I tend to agree.
I thought he had already replaced the Heat roller lamp, but it looks like it was only the pressure roller lamp that was done. Definitely need to check that (duel) lamp

I had this exact problem 2 days ago on this model. It was caused by a blown pressure roller thermostat (there are 2 of them ganged together, you have to replace both as an assembly). The manual was not much help on that repair.BTW, you can check them for continuity without removing the pressure roller, but the pressure roller has to be removed to replace them.

Tip If you bang the thermostats really hard they 99% of the time pop back into working order Just check them with a meter before and after Hitting them

Resetting thermostats by banging them on the ground should be a short term fix til you can return with new ones.
There was a court case in Australia where a machine caught fire and the fault was traced back to the previous tech doing a bush reset on the thermostats.
SC565 is usually the heat roller thermostats though.

Had same problem on a couple c3500. Only replacing both thermostats resolved and thermistors resolved. But be sure to verify your fusing connector for paper.

Check the thermostat pressure roller with a multimeter and if the lamp, the thermostat and termitor are OK, replace the Fuser harness (Ref: B2374305).

Tebow83 I remember the fault as quite ungrateful, after reviewing everything I said in the previous section and have followed the instructions given to the service manual, gave me no result. I managed to fix the SC 565 by changing the fuser connector and the socket of the reference machine B2385319 -> B2385398Good luck and patience with the replacement of parts.
