    Ricoh mpc3000 finisher

Hello, hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
I need to get rid of finisher sc code, cust wants finisher off box.
    Get a sc752.
I did a memory clear, but still there.
    Thanks

You need to unplug and remove the bridge Unit from the machine because the machine is still looking for the finisher as long as that's plugged in.

Will I need a part to replace bridge unit or can I use with it unplugged?

No. Just take it off and you're good to go.
It Actually doesn't have to be removed. You could just unplug it and leave there. Copies/prints will exit on top

Just to be sure we are on same page, there is nothing attached to box, just the two blue exit trays.
As you can guess i have not worked on a lot of these cubes.

If you did an NV ram clear on this model you are going to have some serious problems, poor cq, color reg out etc, etc.

There is a plug connector on the left side of the the Bridge unit (or transport section that transports the paper to the finisher) if that's what you're asking?

And turbojetboy is right. I hope you did an SC5-810 (SC reset), and not an SC5-801 (memory clear), or you will have some real copy quality issues (colour especially)

                Boy, you are soooo there.
I should have just stuck a fork in my eye. lol
Any suggestions on color quality other than going thru all the sims?
What's the SD card all about?

SD Card? Not sure what you mean. There's one installed for "Print/scan", and a a slot to install an Sd for updating firmware.
But if you did an NVram clear, your only hope to get it back to normal is if the "factory Settings" sheet is tucked in under the jam removal sheet inside the front cover. This lists all the settings (about 70-90) specific to that exact machine.
If it's not there, to the best of my knowledge, you're S.O.L.
                  Anyone?

I have to deal with this all too often, and I make the point again - DONT do NVram clear, it rarely ever fixes anything. If you didnt back the NVram up before you cleared it then quite honestly you need to get a tech in who is very familiar with this model. You have to re-enter all the non default data (you did print out all the non default data before you did the clear??) and the list goes on. Quite frankly my opinion is that the machine is NEVER the same again after a all clear has been done like this. I have spent hours and hours over 3 or 4 calls sorting out this exact mess caused inocently enough by unknowing techs.

There is a copy of values dated 08.
Looks like I have my work cut out.
Thanks all and I'll post after I complete resetting values.

When you remove the Bridge Unit you will have to replace the Blue Cover that usually sits there or A3 size paper will catch on the holes in the cover when it exits the machine.
