ricoh aficio 3045 laser unit

hi,
sc323 on aficio 3045. i have 2 laser units. one is good and the other one has sc323. i tried swapping the ld units but sc323 appears on both laser units. when i put the ld units back to it's original laser, the two laser units now has sc323. is there any adjustment in the laser unit or are there parts that i need to replace aside from replacing the whole laser unit?

Is the machine very dirty and the toner start to drop down on LD unit during installation ? If yes try to solder out the circuit board which hold the 2 led and clean the internal. Careful when fix back the flat ribbon cable and adjust the laser beam pitch adjustment.

hi thank you for your solution. yes the ld unit was full of toner when sc323 appeared. i am just wondering why after i replaced the ld unit (that causes sc323) with an ld unit from a good laser unit, sc323 still appears.
i'll try your solution. more power.

If swapping LD Units didn't work, then it's likely either a poor connection between LD unit and the BICU or defective BICU

Yes, you could have a problem with the BICU. However, make sure the interior of the LD unit and lenses are spotless.Also, you also HAVE to run beam pitch adjustments when swapping LD units if you want it to work correctly.

this model didn't have ribbon cable it's modified in 3045 with harness or socket. sc323 it's ld board problem yo need to check out board. variable resistors .and replace bicu causes this problem

Laser synchronization error (SC322, SC326)

Laser power is run thru the front door interlocks. Was a problem on 2045's. 3045's are the same engine.

thank you for your replies. the bicu is ok because when i installed a third laser unit taken from a working machine, the machine works fine. i'll try your solutions about fixing the ld units.

Make sure all the seals between the drum and dev units are replaced or the machine may dump toner into the new laser unit!

x2. I change these every dev change. Part numbers are G065 3066 and G065 2279.
