    RICOH Pro C550EX

I am trying to set up a fiery and dont have a manual. The manuals are just on the copier.
I have a cord running from the outer most rj45 on the copier to the fiery and another from the firey ethernet port to the network.
I set the copier to DHCP and it cant find an address. The firey has a fixed address 192.168.42
    101. So I set the copier to 192.168.42.100. Still cant get a connection. I press the Fiery button on the copier and it stays in "loading"
I cant find a way to get into the firey to change the IP.
Is this connected right? What else can I do.

Check you PM for a link to the docs. But chances are, you probably didn't enable the fiery in SP mode.

    6. Insert the Gigabit Ethernet board [B] ( x 2).
Make sure that the board is inserted straight and firmly.
    7. Reassemble all covers and reconnect the ARDF connector.
    8. Connect the power cord of the copier to a power outlet.
    9. Turn the copier main power switch on and enter SP mode.
    10. Change the network setting of SP5193-001 from “0” to “1”. (this enables the external controller)
    11. Press the On switch (operation switch) on the copier operation panel and wait until the On
    indicator is off.
    12. Turn the copier main power switch off.
