Re: MP 7500SP supervisor login change
"Be sure not to forget the supervisor login user name and login password. Ifyou do forget them, a service representative will to have to return the machineto its default state. This will result in all data in the machine being lostand the service call may not be free of charge."
That would be a Ram reset??

Re: MP 7500SP supervisor login change
There is an SP (SP 5-846-46) that can be run from 'Factory SP' that will reinitialize the UCS settings back to defaults. I have tested this on GW and GW+ machines and it does work. Authentication settings will still be active but the passwords will be null. IIRC from my testing it tosses the address book too, similar to SP 5-846-50.Mystic Crystal RevelationsComment

Re: MP 7500SP supervisor login change
Like I said, I have tested this by setting both admin and supervisor passwords and testing that access is restricted, then running the SP I indicated (which is only available from factory SP mode) clears both back to default. This SP will not be found in the service manual and is not the same reset as the UCS that is listed in the SM.SP 5-801-11 will not reset the admin or supervisor passwords.Comment

Re: MP 7500SP supervisor login change
It is already on this forum. I'm not interested in splashing about instructions for accessing 'Factory Mode', it is actually only supposed to be used by regional technical specialists / support personnel. Do a search for it and go through some threads, you will find it.Comment
