    MPC 4500 Login/password

    hi
I have a MPC 4500 the first problem i had was that is was not printing... i installed drivers etc.. even the ping to the machine was ok... but every print job failed...
then i thought it could be a authentication issue, so i switched it on and now i cannot log into the machine, even as admin (password blank) or supervisor (password blank)

is the only way to fix these issues done by replacing nvram? if so, even if i copied the setting onto a sd card, will i be able to log in?

    thanks for your help!

Password lost ask customer if still lost try admin or super as password if still not working then its New NVRAM I dont think the passwords are transfered when you download the nvram data to a sd card

IIRC from prior experience that the passwords will be transferred with an SD card download / upload. There are numerous threads on this issue already. I can think of three potential solutions:1) Replace the NVRAM, input all non-default data manually. If you try the SD upload / download route be prepared with a second new NVRAM.2) You can attempt to edit the SD card downloaded information like this3) You could run SP 5-846-46 from 'Factory Mode', the search feature will be your friend

Which served you best, Llama? I like the SP myself.
