ADF problem SAvin 9021d (mp2000)

Boss just signed up new customer with 50 or so Laniers, Ricohs, Savins. Never mind we are not a Ricoh dealer and I had to download all the manuals. Right now I have a Savin 9021d that never reads the correct size from the ADF. I have switched sensors around with no change. I am reading the manual but not finding how to test the size sensors in the ADF. Letter R prints legal and letter prints ledger. Since moving the sensors around did not help I am wondering if this is the ADF pwb. Any history on this that anyone knows about?thanks

If the machine is sitting under a florescent light fixture you can get false paper size readings and jams due to the light shinning on the sensors. MOve the machine if this is the case.
You can check most of the sensors in the ADF in the input/output modes SP5803 and SP 5804. There are 2 width sensors and 2 length sensors. One of the 4 could be bad.

How old is this box?mean how many clicks on it?

have a look at attached screenshot, flip this table up,open green marked 3 screws (102) and then look for matel strip Red marked (26) if it's bent or dirty or not making contact with (30) paper size sesor board!if you get it right it should sort it out!

Usually just dust on the original table sensors.

Looks like he's cleaned them already. My money is on the width sensors (fbkhan3 x2)
