ricoh 2238 reset paper tray/jamming

Hi guys, I have one of these machines out whereas after a few copies or so, tray 2 jams. I watched the paper being fed and i could see the feeds turn but the paper did not leave the tray.Looks like the tray is either dropping (as there is a gap between the paper and roller when it jams) or the lift motor is failing, also when the tray is pushed in sometimes it will say add paper!!!Any ideas?

There is a TB regarding this. The plastic clip in the rear frame that holds the tray in place is weak or broken. If the tray is not fully secure, the arm on the feed assy that the tray pushes against will not drop the pickup roller down completely. Attached are 2 bulletins, one for the clip and one for a tray mod to increase the pressure against the pick up arm.
