MP 161 Counter Problem

Ok so I have two 161's, the first one has scan,print, and fax with 163k on it and is junk,

the other has 2k pages on it, but no scan, print and fax.

My problem is that when I swap the main board and the control board the counter goes with, is there a way to transfer the counter?

I don't like the idea of a 2k machine showing 163k.

I tried just putting in just the control board, but I get an sc for the wrong controller installed.

Hello dear,

Counter information on a two eeprom and these eeprom on the controller board. When will you change the controller counter is transfer the other machine. When will you change the controller board it's time you must the transfer eeprom (nv-ram).

Hello dear,

It sounds like a lot of work to make one good machine out of two when there's nothing wrong with the first one anyway, bar a higher than reality meter reading.

I'd stop bothering if I were you.
