mpc3000 printing registration

Hi all, This may be a stupid question, but how do you adjust printing registration? I always thought that printing registration was the same as copy registration. I have this machine and it registers fine on all papers from all trays from the glass and adf , but the lead edge is off when printing from a computer. I have tried 2 customer computers , different drivers and applications, but the lead edge registration is off about 3-4 mm. No where in the service manual do I see anyway to adjust printing registration. I plan to go back and try updating firmware and printing from my laptop, but don't think that will help. Any ideas? Always adjust the printing reg first SP1001. That is the basis for all the others. Next do the scanning registration, 4010, then do the ADF 60xxx. And for printing use the 2109 -003 pattern # 14.All of this is in the R and A section, image adjustment.
