    Slow PDF Printing MPC3001

    Hi All,
Have a customer with a mpc3001 at a construction site that prints building diagrams (roughly 8 pages at 5mb) it can take up to 30 minutes for the doc to print.Even trying to print the document with a cross over cable stalls.I have stopped/started the spooler.I have ordered a hdd and memory dimm question is is this a common thing with the 01 models.Printing the same document to a AF3260 at another location it prints fine.Firmware has also been updated.
    Any ideas much apperciated.

Does either machine have PostScript? Generally that will remove a lot of slow PDF issues. Barring that, try using the PCL 5 driver and printing at black and white, 300x300 dpi. It's a work-around that doesn't quite solve the issue, but so long as there's no colour it will get the jobs out. Generally I create a custom setting for this in the driver and call it 'PDF' or something like that.

Make a note of all the network settings then try a NCS (SP5801-011) memory clear.
Power off / on, then re-enter all the network settings again and give that PDF a test again.

Did you set the IP port to LPR? Queue name lp as in laser printerlower case.

Sending to RAW uses the copier memory,LPR uses the copier HDD so spooling is faster.
You can also select print as image in printer properties.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
