How to "format" a used hdd to use in copiers

Hi Guys

I have a MP2328 with a faulty hdd. I have a spare drive but it was in a laptop and obviously have windows installed on it. what do i need to do so i can use that drive in the MP2328?

After installing it in the machine "format HDD ALL" , switch off/on and then it has to work (normaly).

You need to format the drive in a PC then delete volume before installing it in a machine
