Had a problem this week with duplex / invertor jams. Machine ran ok from platen (No invertion) Cleaning sensors etc had no effect. The paper would jam going into the unit, the trail edge was not leaving the feed in section of the duplex....... see attached
Cheated the door switch and checked the drive to the feed in roller (item 17), poor drive, easy to stop the roller.
The inner portion of the drive dog (item 21) was sticking on the roller shaft (item 17) and the drive was only transmitted via friction between the drive dog on the rear frame and the outer sleeve on the duplex unit (ITEM 19).
Removed the inner drive dog, cleaned the shaft and dog, allowing the spring pressure to slide the dog on the shaft.
Fault cured.
