Hi everyone, I am working on an MP2510 that is networked and has been installed for several years. It quit printing. There IT checked out the network and said it was a bad NIC. I tried to hook up my laptop both with a crossover cable and USB. no luck. They can use the scan which uses the NIC. I suspect the controller board, is there a way to confirm this before I order a new board? I dont see a removeable NVRAM, can the settings and meter readings be transfered to the new board? Thanks for any infomation you can give me. I do have the manuel but did not see anything about transfering settings to a new board.

Hi Blazer
If you swop nvram from old control board to new one you should be ok ..nvram normally in a plastic case that is clipped into the board..
If when you turn on the machine and the scanlamp lights and moves this normally means that the controller is working.
Have you tried printing from rpcs not pcl just incase the pcl is corrupt
Hope some of this helps
