Can anyone tell me how I can get my hands on a NIC for a Gestetner 2712. I want to be able to print to the printer across the network. Thanks.

You will likely need the print and memory options in addition to the NIB to accomplish what you want.

Sorry for the late reply. In recovery mode from minor surgery.

Other than going to a dealer/Ricoh, I don't have any sources.

G335 = NIC
B461 = Printer
B453 = Printer & Scanning
G579 = 64mb memory req. for printing

I doubt there are any left on the shelf at Ricoh. But, I could be wrong.

Aside from a Ricoh/Gestetner/Rex Rotary/Nashuatec/Lanier/Infotec/Danka dealer I suppose keeping an eye on ebay might be an idea.

But as a previous respondee said, you will need the optional RAM and a print option card as well as the NIC.

Gestetner 2712 -- NOT printing in Windows XP Pro.

I've already downloaded the latest driver from Gestetner USA - Support & Drivers choose the first option B&W Multifunction; 2712. Hooked up a parallel printer cable from the printer/copier to the back of the computer running Windows XP Pro with the latest downloaded driver off from the site.

I spent a lot of time trying to make it work or print, but nothing works. Went to the C:\>dir>lpt1; hoping to get a basic idea of an easy test print; still no luck.

Is there any setting that I need to change on the machine itself? Or is there anything special that I need to purchase? Copier is working great. Can anyone give me a suggestion on where to go from here? Thanks in advance.
