Need display lamp for a Ricoh MP 5500 - 6000

Hey Guys and gals.... I need a display lamp for one of these machines, and do not see it in the manual anywhere. Anyone have a clue where to get one. Any yes it is the lamp for sure!! It's lamp is actually broken, and I checked the little inverter board first before opening it up.

Are you talking about the lamp in the LCD of the control panel? If so, get the LCD, B238 1485.

yes but I don't want the whole LCD display just the backlight. The LCD works fine, you can shine a light in it and read it, also the touchscreen works. It's just the back light burned out and cracked.

        Ricoh doesn't spare it separately.

            Found it

2.0mm CCFL Backlights for LCD back light repairs of monitors and laptops.

All kinds of lamps here, and it appears to be the 2mm x 201mm.

Good luck. 2mm is awfully thin. I'd break it if I tried.

At $10 each I can afford to break a few. Have you seen the cost of that display?

So, did it work? did you find just the bulb and replace it? I have the same problem on an MP 6000, it could be the LCD light, or the invertor, or even the op PCU board, I'm about ready to flip a coin!

Yes.. it worked great. I had tested the inverter board first which was fine. So I bought 2 lamps, broke the first one trying to get everything right, but had it all figured out by the second and it woks GREAT!!

I own a company called Imagestar. We used to be a Gestetner dealer, but as you know that brand name was merger with Lanier. That would have make for 3 lanier dealers, 1 savin dealer and 2 Ricoh dealers.... So we just went independent.

is there a manual for this?
