Ricoh 2022 sc 320

The laser unit is gone on this unit and I dont have another one in inventory . Is it possible to use one from a 2018 complete or can I take the polygonal motor out and put it into the 2022 as a temporary fix ?

The machines laser assy are totally different, they are not interchangable. The laser and the polygon mirror motor are also different. sorry

Thanks anyway I guess if the customer needs dependability they should invest in a newer unit .

It is possible to take the rotor/ mirror off the base to clean it and just lightly coat the shaft with oil.
It will whine a bit, but it will run.
Otherwise replace the motor.

These are workhorse machines if you just keep them clean.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm guessing the nearest you find that will fit is a 220/270 or 1022/1027 as they work at the same speed.

I have swaped just the motor with success ! But you can buy a new motor for 29.00
