    CL 7200 CQ ISSUES

Picture 1 is what I was facing upon arrival, along with sc374 codes.
Picture 2 is after I replaced the black development unit.
Picture 3 is after I replaced the black pcu, and as you can see, something is still awry.
I swapped the transfer unit with a known good one, no change.
I vacuumed out the K toner supply tube
I made sure the toner pump was working (forced K toner supply, and it overtoned)

Has anyone seen this issue on this printer? Looking at pic 3 it kinda looks like a K dev bias issue, but I'm not sure. Could use some assistance on this one. Thanks

That'd be my guess too, it can be about the only thing you haven't changed so far.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

Developer clutch. There was a bulletin released for the LD 335c family on this issue: the clutch stays on too long and then feeds out too much developer, depleting prematurely.

Black dev clutch 100% but you will need to replace the blk dev unit at the same time as the dev as probably all gone by now.

Yes I have had this issue many times before and it is a black Dev clutch. Since your at the back of the machine you might as well do all clutches as well

The developer clutch did the job. Thanks Guys. Thank you too, Paul, but I already have the manual

Don't forget the black toner attraction pump. It has a clutch sealed in it (dumbest idea ever) that will cause insufficient toner to developer unit under load. This pump as it starts to fail gives the diagonal banding as well. As you are back there for the DV clutches (do them all you will be the better for it) check the pump too.

The exact same problem is back, and all the developer has been lost from the unit. Could it be I installed a faulty dev clutch, or could something else be causing this problem?

Yes, it was a brand new unit that got the dev sucked out of it.
