I have a GLSR TYPE 1515 PHOTO CONDUCTOR UNIT (411844) I installed it into my customers machine. The copies that come out are now dark gray. Does anyone have more information on what the problem could be?

I've had that twice and both times it was just a bad PCU out of the box... replaced and sent back warranty. -

Re: Glsr type 1515 photocondutor unit
These PCU's have been out for quite a while and I've got a few hundred of the units that use these PCU's, so two out of thousands I wouldn't say is a problem.. I would say it goes under the "shit happens" category mentioned above.Comment

What is causing the drum unit to print excessive toner onto the paper? Is the drum being overcharged?Comment

My customer is quite angry at me .-.
Would there be a way I could troubleshoot to find a better solution?Comment

It's a defective assy. You bought it that way. Replace it, and return for warranty.
Problem solved.
If you can't claim warranty because of where/ how you acquired it, that's not your customer's problem.
I'd be angry tooComment
