Issues with Slip Sheets in Ricoh MP7500 Multi Function Printer / Copier

    Good Afternoon -

I've got a nagging issue which I need help with. Unfortunatly, Ricoh only has one forum for copier issues and it has a total of 80 posts

Our company has many, many Ricoh MFPs, but the one in question is a MP7500. One of the users wanted to have slip sheets inserted automatically in between documents and the setting was found to do so in the driver.

The issue is, that once Paper Selection is set to Use Slip Sheet, the only Input Tray that can be used is the Bypass Tray. All of these settings are in the driver's Printer Preferences / Paper tab.

No matter what settings are changed, Bypass Tray is the only option in the Input Tray drop down. It's currently using the Ricoh Aficio MP 7500 PCL 6 driver which is up to date. The printer is communicating via network and being shared from a Windows 2008 server (which is where I'm trying to change the options and yes, I have admin rights.)

    How is this resolved? Thanks!

Change the Covers/Pages Selection (right above input tray) to 'Slip Sheet' instead of 'All Pages'. You will then have the trays available to select from.

Going off what you have selected there, your first problem is you have selected transparency for your stock which can only be feed from the bypass tray.

If you change your stock to plain paper, then it should allow you to select which tray it comes from provided it's A4 or Letter (depending on where you are located)

Also go into user tools, system settings, paper tray and set up the tray you want to use for a slip sheet first, then make the changes in the driver

In saying that though, going back to the original picture, if your slip sheet is a transparency then your screwed, you have to use the bypass tray only.
