MP 4000 fainting on one side

I have this Mp 4000 which is really straining a vain in the wrong place, now the machine will print well when printing from all windows applications font is bold enough everything is on the documents is clear enough, but now here is where the vain is straining to pop when the client prints from an invoicing application i think they are using sage or something like that i know it's a 3rd party application, so when they are printing invoices and bill of lading the printouts are coming out faint on the left side of the document paper is loaded on L.E(long edge) from the tray. i have tried to change true type mode and scale pattern from the printing preferences menu and nothing much has changed ....... any ideas????

go to service mode and print an smc report to see if it occurs internally. Have you cleaned the LD slit glass?. Try to print something different like, from internet.
Are you printing through an standard tcp/ip? or network printer?..can you connect one of the computers directly to that printer?. I'm sure you can bring the copier near the computer and try to print with a crossover cable...
Are the other applications working fine?...
