    how do i assign an ip address

    hi i would like to assign an ip address to a ricoh 171 or basically configure it on the network client does not have network admin

      User Tools> system settings>interface>network>IP4 address>specify> (enter address + #) enter subnet mask + #. OK your way out, print a config sheet to verify. You can also enter a Gateway if necessary under "network"

          even to me it ssemed like a joke until i did enter an ip address,subnet mask into the copier and when you ping it on the pc it does not appear neither when the ip is put into the webbrowser-i hope this aint no joke now

            thanks i will try adding the # tag . but for what reason please clarify that could be my problem cause i didnt do it that way thats why i failed

                If you put in the IP-adres/Subnet Mask with #, press OK to program.

                    No, # just means the symbol on the screen which means "Enter" You still have to OK the whole screen to program.
