Ricoh MP161 scan file type.

hello.
we have a Ricoh MP161 machine
and i set it up to send scans via our exchange server and its working fine.

the only problem is that i try to set the file type to be sent in PDF it works once but after that it goes back to sending TIFF.

what seems to cause the setting to change back?
is there a place i should change it in the web control panel?

how do i set it as default?
i only have the option when i press the scan button and enter my email
there is an option to set the file type. but it seems to apply only for that scan and not to all.

User Tools / Scanner Features / Initial or General Settings / File Type Priority

Or something along those lines. If you look through the scanner features in User Tools, you'll see it.
