    MPC 4500

    having a cq issue. had a reg problem but performed 2111 and line adjustments and the printing end is all lined up now. when i COPY though in black and white its all ok and when i copy in color it has very dark background but registration is good now. im looking for scanner calibrations in sp but i don't want to fool with the wrong adjustments. any help appreciated. thanks the printing end in color and bw are good just having a problem in copy color.

      Sounds to me like someone may have done a memory all clear to try and solve an issue, and thrown all the non-default settings out of whack. I'd print out the SMC report and start there.

        One should always back up the NVram settings and print the non default settings of the smc before doing sp-5801-001... very bad day when that isn't done. My tech's aren't allowed to do this without my blessing... If they do bad things happen,,,,, to them

          Also, if you have lost the birth certificate, you can simply go into User Tools -> Copier/Document Server Settings and force Auto Process Control on for color.
