Hi, I am looking to replace the toner & delveloper in a sp c430dn - to non genuine ( ceramic ) toner & developer...

To be brutally honest, I wouldn't even try. These machines have enough problems with toner supply and putting toner and developer they aren't made to run is just asking for trouble. It still takes me two hours to do a toner pump on these and I've replaced quite a few.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

AsTonerMunkeh said, it will create you alot of trouble on these machines, is it really worth saveing on toner to then have to spend it on pumps and time to repair these machines. Stick with OEM toner and you will save yourself time and money in the long term and have more reliable machines.

The posts ARE here...we've had many a discussion(bitching session) about the toner pump failures of this machine...
My vote is that same as the other techs here....do not even bother.

Here is a replacement procedure that we developed, when we started having breakdowns of epic proportions, and no feedback from Ricoh.

I approached an engineering company, and they (using the plastic ones from the machine as a guide) made us steel ones that last much longer, and are easier to replace - so much so that unless there is a bad breakage, we don't even take the shute out of the machine anymore, as it is possible to fit the coil while the shute is still in the machine.

                        Hope it helps someone
