Re: Ricoh MPc4502 PCU
Keep in mind that the MPC4501 and 4502 are far better pcu's than all the previous ones!

Re: Ricoh MPc4502 PCU
the 2042 drums work in 2800 3300 as colors no wire swapping necessary actually right across the board on there...up to 5501s I have not tried the 02 series yetLeave a comment:

Re: Ricoh MPc4502 PCU
OK Total confusion from the cheat sheet!
For model C4502 the sheet says modify the C4502 black PCU D1442250 & remove the stud in the color PCU cavity.
The extended wax bar frame on the black PCU will not permit it to fit in the color cavities. Nor will the wax bar assy from a color PCU bolt up to the black PCU.
What am I not understanding?

Re: Ricoh MPc4502 PCU
Why not replace the two 7501's with two 5503's and I have been told by a tech friend of mine that the 5503 is not as solid as the 5502.

Re: Ricoh MPc4502 PCU
The 5503 is much better for one the customer cant fxck up the fuser as its locked in the machine and the PTR assy is unbreakable and the W Toner is now a consumable part I have 2 7501s in the Field and would be more than happy if we could replace them both with 4 3503sLeave a comment:

Re: Ricoh MPc4502 PCU
Hi guguys I came across this thread which had been amusing and interesting :0)
I have a few MPC 7500 that I want to replace but want something more reliable and not needing a vac out every 20k or so. I have been looking at the mpc 5502 models and wanted to know how reliable they are and how often do you change the drum units etc. I will ask on average about 10-15k a month out of the machine just from the trays on normal paper.
Any advice would be grateful

The D029 2256 Black type drum will fit into the black socket on the either the 4501/5501 - 4502/5502 machines. There is no modding required but you must keep the original face plate form the one you replace and fit to the D029 2256 drum.Leave a comment:

I'm using this cutting tool:
JCB 250mm Aviation Tin Snip Right Cut, 28507512
With a little careful not to touch the toner pump, cutting is fast and accurate.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the great cheat sheet. I added some procedure photos that I cribbed from other threads (sorry OP's, I'll try and hunt down your names and give you credit). I didn't have a photo of cutting the pin in the rear, so if someone has one or could take one then please add it to this pdf and clean it up as you see fit.
*FYI, I edited it online with "PDFescape".Leave a comment:

Re: Ricoh MPc4502 PCU
If you remove drum units from the copier and look into the back of the cavity you will see the locating lugs on the rear of the plate that holds the PCU.
Hi
Thanks for infos but I must be very stupid or I didn't understood something.
I tried to remove the plate that holds the PCU on my brand new MPC3002...
Since 2 hours, I'm removing screws, plates, doors...etc.
The thing is thats it seems very hard to remove the back screws of the plate (behind the controller box & the PCU drives...?)
Is there anything I missed? Is there an easier way to get this plate out of the copier????
Otherwise I'll buy big pliers to cut the plate...
thanks again for your tips and for your help to come!Leave a comment:
