[Error Code] SC322 on ricoh mp201

Hi All

i have a client that have been open a business,
they have check the electricity for all room but they forget to switch off the printer mp201spf
When they switch on the breaker the machine switch on and the sc322 occurs.

Pls can someone can tell me how the bicu been damaged wjth the SC322, i already check the LD unit & toner supply its ok.
i need to inform the client how it occurs. how to explain that?

Replace DRUM UNIT , you have problem with charge roller.
I have this problem many times.

SC322 is realated to the laser sync detection. (see attachment) I would suggest that when the power was turned off, the machine was writing information to or from one of the pcb's. If you have access to a spare machine, you could try swapping out the synd board, laser and BICU.

Yes agreed, I came across that two times already. I would try to load new engine and system firmwares on it.

Usually SC322 is a problem with Laser Sync. (Laser Box Unit / Write Unit).

Try to change that particular part, it might the one giving you the headaches.

Can you check SC code history in SP mode. I had an MP201 with a similar code (it's late and I've been at the hospital all day with my dad so I'm not looking it up today), I replaced LD and BICU, it immediately burnt out the new BICU, when SC history was checked there was another code (not displayed on panel), fault was caused by the scan motor.
I'll look up what the actual codes were tomorrow if I remember

OK, I was still up, waiting for a call from the hospital, so I looked it up this evening.
The machine I had would display a paper jam (no jammed paper), then SC320 would occur. When SP7403 was checked, SC121 had occurred at the same time as SC320.
Scanner motor and BICU needed replacing
