I am working on a Ricoh MPC 2000 (actually Lanier LD420C) same thing I have green power light on red alert light red light on printer button but my display on op-panel is dark no light at all, I have tried a new operation panel with no luck, any hints on what to try next I was told to try polygon mirror motor because it may be indicating an SC 220 code which could cause a dark screen but I cant get into Web Monitor to verify any SC codes although it does beep like it has an SC code when turned on. Any help is appreciated. Thx all.

Have you tried shining a torch onto the screen? The SC code may still be visible; the screen won't have the backlight on. -

Black screen on MPC2000 occurs even when Fuse NR4 is blown on the PSU.Comment

Correct, you must repl polygon motor assy and BICU AT THE SAME TIME BEFORE SWITCHING BACK ON, or else you will blow the BICU again. This is now a common sight accross the range from 2500 through to 5000.Comment
