I have an mpc2050 that will not accept a static ip address. You can input the address and it will show under the interface tab correctly. When you print out the report, it shows 11.22.33.44 as the ip address with 0.0.0.0 for subnet, gateway and dns. DHCP does the same thing. We replaced the controller board and re-installed the hdd, memory and nvram. We erased the nvram for the controller 5801-11. Firmware has been updated to the latest levels. Ricoh says to do an all clear in nvram, if this fails replace the controller and nvram with new parts. I do not want to rewrite all the settings if I can avoid it. The hdd doesn't give any codes but the address book says not available. It acts like the controller is not booting completely. Is there a way to connect a laptop to the controller and watch it boot. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a simular problem, static ip work, but not the dhcp, found out an error to the customer network. Anyway, I think that you can save the nvram data to an SDcard. After that try memory-clear All if it not help upload/restor nvram data. I would try a complete controller from another mpc2050 After start up you need to format the HDD.
Good luck... keep update us (interesting case)Comment

User Tools / System Settings / Interface Settings / IEEE802.11x Authentication set to INACTIVE / Hand bill to customer. It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
