line on copy when using ARDF

    [Misc] line on copy when using ARDF

    hello guys,
    this might sound silly but found something that disturbed me when copying from the ardf a line appears what could be the problem and how can i rectify it
    :it an mp4000, cleaned scanner glass rollers in ardf, fitted the paper in the ardf rightly but no changes.
    your help will be appreciated

    It may be the scanner mirrors, The image centers on a different place for scan and ADF.
    Or it may be a scratch on the ADF scan glass. Replace to check.

      Move the third mirror a little bit upward. Worked for me on an MP C6501.

          Is it a long black line down the trailing edge? Check the level of the DF, it could be skewing. Try putting some pressure under the front corner whilst it is scanning to see if it disappears. Either that or alter the edge erase settings.
