MPC 2500 Pickup solenoid

Hi guys,

I went to a machine today that was multifeeding from tray 3, with only 1 copy requested, (replaced feeds and torque limiter with the same result) I then swapped the unit to tray 4 and the problem moved to tray 4. It

After looking at the feed unit i stripped and cleaned the pickup solenoid and it worked ok.

My question is: Has anyone else found this cure? as the manual hardly mentions the pickup solenoid.

Hi there!
Only 1 time had a similar problem with the selenoid: the felt for reducing noise was greasy. After cleaning it it with a good portion of tuner-spray never had any problem again.
