The drum itself or the full PCU assy?

I was pretty much of the impression that the MP5500 drum would work in practically all Ricoh H/V Mono with the exception of the Katana. I personally have used the B246 9510 drum in everything from a 1075 to a 2090 with no problems that I'm aware of.

*Edit* I've checked the parts manual and it's the same drum between the MP5500 range and the MP7001 range, so I guess your answer is yes. Although my original point stays, I use this as a generic drum for the full H/V range except the MP9000/Pro906/907 as it has a life of well over 1 Million clicks compared to 700k for the B070 drum.

Awesome, what modifications if any need to be done to make the drums work?

None needed. Just order B070 9510 opc drum and put it in. This will run on MP 5500-7500 and 6001 - 9001.

If you are talking about the UPPER and LOWER PCU assembly then I have not done it.

Nice! I am guessing the B070 9510 drum is cheaper than the normal drum for the MP6001/7001/8001 range? (B246 9510)

Will drum A295 9510 also fit the MP6001 series? It seems to be identical to B070 9510?

              Thanks.

They'll all fit and work, although if I were you, I'd bear in mind the life of the B246 drum is 1.2m, B070 is 700k and A295 is 350k before deciding which one is most cost effective to fit. I don't know exact prices but the B070 drum would have to be around half the price of B246 to make any kind of economical sense. Also make sure you change the cleaning blade at around pm interval (300k) as this seems to help make sure the drums do their expected yield.

Yes I agreed. I have used it on three MP7001 going into 1 million and the drum still doing okay. Copy quality is not so great but replace charge coronas and developer. It still kicking.

Thanks for all the replies! Looking to make a saving on the B246 drum so knowing that the A295 drum fits is a major bonus (pity its life is so much less)

                    Brilliants news though.

Well, whatever works for you pal. I was specifically told by the bean counters never to fit the A295 drum, even to the AF550/650/551/700 and 850/1050 that they were originally supposed to go in as the part cost vs life wasn't as economical as fitting the longer life part from later kit. If you need to compromise on price then I'd at least go with the B070 which has double the life of the A295.
