Scanner Home Positioning Error. Could be a defective Home Positioning Sensor.

May have been asked before? No kidding.
It's an SC code. You supposedly work on copiers for a living, and you don't even have the capacity to look up a simple SC code?
At least make an effort. Just try the search function. I did, and found several posts about it

i know you aint kidding but this sc code only appears when i use the scanning option so to me it appears rather tricky and i can only clear it when i switch the machine off and on. and besides its a new copier. thanks

Hi, Im new here. I got the same problem as u few days ago. The solution is belt on the lamp is too tight. Loosen it a bit. Remove the scanner glass and at the left most side you can see a screw, just below the ADF glass, on the loop of the belt. Loosen it both side and its solve.

hi man thanks for your advice i used white grease instead to help the scanner move freely other than your method but the fact that you showed me where to touch i highly appreciate
