    Ricoh 6513 Fiery E-710

It's been a long time since I worked on a Ricoh Fiery machine.

Anyone know what the password is for the Service Setup Password on the small control panel to the left?

I can't remember if it was something like Fiery or 12345678? I need to get in there to change the IP.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Press the Menu key to access the Functions screen.
    scroll with arrows
    Select Print Pages. Enter
    Select Configuration. enter
Save the Configuration page for future reference. enter. on this page you can get IP address and then login via browser and change

Dont switch of the copier with out shuting down fiery, the system may become currupt, then you´ll have to install fiery system software via SCSI cdrom, and it will take over 45 min to install. so please de carefull and don´t play around with this machine
    TO SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM
    1. Wait until the Operation Panel displays Idle.
    2. On the Operation Panel (Fiery)press the Menu key to access the Functions menu.
    3. Use the Down arrow to scroll to Shut Down. Press the Enter key.
    4. Use the Down arrow to scroll to Shut Down System. Press the Enter key.

The message “Shut down in progress” appears, followed by the message “It is now safe to
power off system.” After both messages have displayed, turn off the copier using the main
    power switch.

      I forgot to tell:

Site Configuration Utility: Additional Security Measures
The configuration utility uses a web service interface so that it may be used from machines other than the
server. Because the site configuration utility offers advanced configuration and updates sensitive information
such as pricing, the administrator may consider restricting access further.
Normally, a small set of machines will be using the configuration utility. Site administrators should
consider locking access to the web service that permit running the configuration utility
      (
DSF/WebServices/DataAccess.asmx). This may be easily done by navigating to this page in IIS and
then using the options in the security tab to restrict by IP addresses or IP address ranges.

It is also possible to secure this particular page so that it requires SSL. To do this, a certificate must
be installed on the server machine, and each client will need to navigate to a page on the server
      (perhaps the
DataAccess.asmx page itself) and install the certificate onto their machine. The client
user will also need to manually open their
.config file to change the ConnectionString web address to
      use HTTPS instead of HTTP.

There is an entry, SiteKeyAdministrative.config SiteKeyAdministrative value in the web.config file. Any mismatches deny access to the user.
This means that an administrator can change the
SiteKeyAdministrative value on the server, but this
requires coordination with each configuration utility user (providing new
      .config files) and
modifications to any Balance, Fiery, or MicroPress systems that also use web services to update DSF
job status or the DSF media catalog.

Did you ever figure out how to get into the setup. The information posted wasn't very helpful at all. I have one with an admin password, we purchased the copier from a liquidator, no additional information provided. Need to reset the IP address. Does anyone have the Fiery System Software Restore CD or Know how to bypass this stupid password? We can't use it as a printer, and that's why we bought it!

            password

I believe the password was: "Fiery.1"

Try that and let me know. But I am pretty sure that was it.

              Fiery E-710 password

Just tried it "Fiery.1", says "incorrect password". This is really frustrating. Did this work for you?

                Ricoh Fiery E-710

I was on Fixya today, spent $20 for help that was a dead end. Was hoping someone knew how to bypass the password. I was told to try "Admin", which of course didn't work. Was instructed to reset the printer by holding down start, and stop/clear by powering on. No change as far as I could tell. Even if, I expected it to affect the copier, but not the fiery. I have an external scsi drive, just need an ISO of that darn cd. Found this information on the web. Said to boot with restore cd, will take about 30 minutes to reinstall fiery system software. Found the Fiery Install PDF. Has anyone restored the Fiery System Software on an E-710?

                  re: password

Yeah I got it to work once...it's been a while though and the machine is at one of my other facilities...I'll see if I can dig around and find it, I know I wrote it down somewhere. Try different variation of what I just sent you, including maybe all lower case, etc...but I'll keep you posted.

Did already, "fiery.1", "Fiery.1", "password", " ", as well as others. Your timezone is 2 hours behind me, and I have a very early morning. If I can get this operational tomorrow, that would save my from loosing some business. What am I saying, it's already tomorrow. I need to print 12x18, can't scan 12x18 but can print it. Only problem is, I can't connect to the fiery. As soon as you remember the password, please post it AQAP. Unless you can get your hands on that Fiery System CD.

                        Fiery E-710 password

What if the fiery downloader doesn't find any printers? I mean, the ip address is beyond the range of the private network ip addresses. So that would only work for units where connectivity has already been established. The ip address is 146.174.150.112, I need it to be in the 192.168.0.1 range. This is why I need the password or the Fiery Restore CD.

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all! Password was a 6513, can't believe I didn't try that. I think it's a good idea to still have the Fiery System Software.
