This machine will not boot, it just displays this. It was the original call, It has a df (disconnected) shift-sort(disconnected) and print scan.
The tech cant get into user tools or SP mode. All the fuses on the PSU are good. Any suggestions?

Hard disk!!!!!

To prove it disconnect the hard disk from the controller and boot the machine, if it comes to ready but without any duplex/finishing options then you're onto a winner.

Standard 40Gb 2.5 laptop style hard disk drive, any brand will work.

Yep, hard drive. Ricoh wanted $417.98 for it. (Gasp)
I found a Toshiba 2.5" 40Gb at Direction.com for $50.00. They also had an adaptor ADP-NB-HD for 10.00 that will allow me to connect a 44pin laptop drive to a 40 pin desktop bus. This will allow me to run SpinRite on the old drive and try to recover it. I have saved many drives using this program.
