MP 171 paper creasing

Hello, i have an mp171 with a paper creasing problem, like something making a long scratch on the document. I have checked every thing including removing the fuser and the same problem. I have checked all trays cause this unit carries an extra tray for legal paper. I am suspecting the trays but am not sure. Can anyone help ?

Removed the fuser? Meaning what? You replaced it with another unit? Or just visually inspected it?
My bet is, that it's a score in the fuser roller, which may not even be easy to see. It's either that, or a build up of toner on a stripper pawl
By the way, if it happens from both trays, then it's not tray related.

1. check the entrance guide plate for broken teeth
2. check pressure roller bushings for bent or broken

I inspected the fuser, check the exit guide i also checked the pawls there was no toner build up there. I will remove the fuser again for further checks.

Very simple : replace the Hot Roller, Pressure Roller, Stripper Pawls, and if needed the thermistor. This will solve it.

Sounds like a thermistor scar on the paper. The thermistors in the fuser are either coated over or the coating is worn through.
