    Destination Drive Full

    I get this on a C4501 when multi-pages packets are sent via email on an internal network. Pages 20-25 are OK but often this customer send 100 page or more.Resolution is at 200. They all seem to scan in OK but then errors out about half way thru. The IT guy says that the server is not recording the receipt at all.
    He also reports that the Toshiba and the OCE have no problem in this area.
    I tried Divide and send on and off and split on memory or pages. Email limit is 0 and I tried 2048 and 5000 too.
    I dont think the problem is with the copier but I didnt set up the email on this, their previous IT did.
    I thought about resetting all the email settings but I am unsure if there is a setting for that. They have a boat load of email addresses and I dont want to lose them;
    Any ideas on this problem?

    try this

    USER TOOLS/COUNTER -> Scan features -> Send Settings -> Max Email Size = set it off.

        A couple of things to try:

        1. Make sure that the mail server itself doesn't have some kind of size limit on attachments.

        2. Try bumping up the PDF compression in Scanner User Tools all the way up.

        3. What are the original type settings? If possible, try setting them to Black and White and text instead of text/photo.

            I had like this error.. the It had Email max set to about 100mb.. he told me 150 page work but not 250... he said that the pdf of 150 pages was around 30mb, so 100mb had to work at 250 I force him to change the limit to 300mb (test). IT work.. but 250 page been only about 68mb.. Think the file is bigger in someway when sending... just a tip.

                I had the same issue on some c5501's at 2 different accounts about a year or so ago. One of the accounts upgraded a fleet of various Ricoh models, but it was only the c5501's that gave the error. The old Ricoh’s didn't error out either when they sent large packets, so I thought it was a model specific issue. I never saw it again at any of my other c5501 installs, so it was more likely a setting on their SMTP servers that the c5501 had an issue with.
