Ricoh AFICIO 3228C tranfers cleaning unit

    hi
can anyone tell me if the lubricating bar in the cleaning unit causes any
    odd CQ issues ...
i changed 4 drum units and within 10 days "blk/yell 1st and then cyan/magenta on 2nd visit" had to go back for
pink streaks only on color prints..
black is clean and it looks like the yell and magnt drum units
    are streaking..
changed the transfer cl blade and checked the lubr bar and it was
    gone..
not having one i installed a old ricoh 6513 lubr bar that i cut down to size and put that in.
figured the L1 toner could work in the old 3800s and the drum units are similar to 3228c.
on single color copies does the transfer cleaning unit come into play?
cleaned all rollers and the transfer belt with alcohol and the rollers with afta.

ordered a new belt and waiting..any input appreciated>>
not my favorite machine for copy quality issue for me..
    thnx in advance

The ITB-Cleaning Unit is always in contact with the belt, no matter what you print. Otherwise the belt can't be cleaned. Just order a complete Cleaning Unit (also much easier to replace). Also make sure you're using the R2-toner.

      hi
im a ind tech and cant charge this account 1k for the assembly,i sell offlease copiers and have to macguiver parts.
i understand the belt cl unit process but know black copies dont require the trans belt for clear copies,,
      "backside can be dirty"
      is single color the same?
only 2 of the 3 drums are streaky..so not sure if the transfer belt is the main problem or a couple of iffy drums..
      they were older stock..
