This little Ricoh has started to make shadow copies. I have reset all the 'originals' settings (it actually works best on Photo) and adjusted the density but nothing takes the shadow completely away. Halfway down the page a second lighter image appears, going all the way to the bottom of the paper. Suggestions.

What is the condition of the hot roller? When these get contaminated it also repeats images down the page.Press the GREEN button!!Comment

I will check the hot roller issue. I was getting a lot of paper jams recently, which I attributed to some cheap, cheap paper that got put in there.
I am not a tech, but when I worked in a very rural area I did a lot of maintenance and basic repair on our office 1013f. I have the Users Manual - is there also a Service Manual? At work we finally had a tech that moved into the area so I didn't work on ours any more. When I left and moved out of state I got him to find me one to take with me and I use it often. Of course, I like it best when it is working like it should.
I still live in a rural area and although there is a tech here (within 50 miles) I can't afford him. If it's something simple I can fix it. Yeah, I know I am an "amateur" if it's over my head I will live with it until I am rich again.Comment

look at the pressure roller bushings.had a problem like that and they were the problemComment
