Scan to email setup with AT&T U-verse Savin C4535

I recently switched from Charter Communications to AT&T U-verse for my company's internet service. Yesterday, my Savin C4535 rep told me that the scan to email function on this model is not compatible with AT&T U-verse. Has anyone else heard this claim? Is it even possible? My company uses Google analytics for our email.

If their email service uses encryption, then it isn't compatible with that particular service, but there are many workarounds, such as setting up a "yahoo" email account, and use its SMTP settings for sending. There are many, many threads here relating to issues like this. Nevermind focusing on your specific model number, they are all more or less or set up the same way.
Tip: You'll get many more results if you search for "Ricoh" rather than "Savin". It's the more widespread brand

Thank you. I'm pretty new to all this. We are a small company with no IT department, so it falls on me to figure this stuff out!
